Insaniyat
INSANIYAT : The Algerian Journal anthropology and social sciences
Insaniyat from “INSAN” especially from “INS” which mean man in an ANTHROPOS general meaning i.e. (that is to say) of the human genre in his difference with the animal order and the supernatural one
INSANIYAT is a set of the proper features to men as a man. It also means HUMANITIES or HUMAN SCIENCES,”ilm al inassa”, it one of the anthropological science traditions.
INSANIYAT expresses well the preoccupation of the ancient poet :”nothing related to humans can be strange to me”. “Rien de ce qui est humain ne doit m’être étranger ». Ambition, indeed, immoderate but analog to ambition which was the origin of anthropology wanting itself to be « total science of man » in front of nature sciences
INSANIYAT, the journal is also a huge ambition
INSANIYAT is the journal published by the CRASC .it is a space of expression opened to all researchers of human sciences and of the society.

Presentation
With the publication of the first edition of the journal n°01, the national centre of research in social and cultural anthropology (CRASC) has achieved a project which was in gestation since a while. This could have been done before, hence, it has needed the gathering of a certain number of conditions so that the enterprise would not be like a straw fire but benefits of some guarantees so that the work can postulate to a minimum of quality and of durability.
Under this point of view, the researchers and the personnel of the service which since years have contributed to base a research tradition in the University of Oran and of the URASC at a first time, then of the CRASC after, must see here the realization at least partial of their common efforts. So they can be thanked, indeed to all those who work, generally in the shade, to the promotion of the university activity and the scientific research in Algeria.
INSANIYAT is a joutrnal of social sciences anthropology enhancing the research activity on site. INSANIYAT hence possesses by this the –inter- and pluridisciplinarity principles, that why it doesn’t discard from the anthropological project, it will be opened to different disciplines having as a subject man and society.
This journal realizes the works curried out in all the national territory by researchers working under the scope of initiated programs by the research institutions. It also tasks to be constituted in a meeting point hosting other scientists who, in Algeria or in other foreign countries, are touchy to produce and to debate themes related to our preoccupations. Our ambition is to publish four journal per year, each with centered contributions about a thematic question, leaving space to articles out of theme, and to all which, as feed backs of reading of meetings or other information, must find place in a periodical edited by an institution of research.
With INSANYIAT, we modestly hope to contribute to a reduction of a worrying defect in supports of scientific publications in Algeria, knowing that a production potential can exist and doesn’t request frequently anything but expressing itself to arouse interest and to deploy itself.
Of course, this supposes requirements, that the CRASC and INSANIYAT are committed to always implement better.
A last thank to the technical team, to the redaction and all those who have participated in the realizations of the precedent INSANYAT publications and are committed in the preparation of the following ones.
